William B. Cashion - Chairman of the Board Mr. Cashion previously served as a director of a very successful federally insured bank in the state of Alabama, over a twenty four year period. He has been a business owner and operator for over fifty years, spanning a number of different industries. One of his current undertakings is the development of a substantial sized parcel of real estate on the southern side of St. Thomas, into a residential community. Michael Burgamy - Director Mr. Burgamy is a private investor since 2001. Currently, he is the Lead Director of CoBiz Financial, Inc., a $2.1 billion-in-assets financial holding company headquartered in Denver, Colorado. Prior to that he was Chief Financial Officer of Colibri Holding Corp., a manufacturer of outdoor living products located in Denver, Colorado from 1997 to 2001. James E. Crites - Director, President and CEO Formerly, Senior Vice President/Eastern Caribbean Region Credit Office of FirstBank Puerto Rico and prior to that, President and Chief Executive Officer of the First Virgin Islands Federal Savings Bank from 1992 to 2000. Mr. Crites was previously a Vice President with Chase Manhattan Bank. Thomas J. Johnson - Director Mr. Johnson is the owner of several automobile dealerships, including Metro Motors in the United States Virgin Islands. Mr. Johnson serves on the Board of Directors of two other financial institutions in the domestic United States market: First Financial Holdings, and First Federal Savings and Loan. He is also a Board Member of the South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association, and the Horry-Georgetown Technical College Foundation. John David McCay, Sr - Director Mr. McCay is the Founder and Lead Philanthropist of Peace Initiatives Institute, a 501©3 organization engaged in the peace process in Northern Ireland. He was the founder of several companies in the pharmaceutical and health care industries, and serves on the Board of Directors of a provisions distributor based in California. Alda Monsanto - Director Ms. Monsanto is retired. She is currently Director of the Virgin Islands Capital Resources, Inc. and the Second Vice President of the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands. Prior to that Ms. Monsanto served as Chief Labor Negotiator for the United States Virgin Islands Government from 1983 to 1991, Training Coordinator for Career Exploration Programs for the St. Thomas/St. John Chamber of Commerce from 1981 to 1983, and Executive Director of the Virgin Islands Housing Authority from 1971 to 1980. Waring Partridge - Director Waring Partridge is the CEO of Antilles Financial Services Group, LLC, a subsidiary of Investment Security Services, LLP, a U.S. Virgin Islands financial services company. Waring brings a wealth of valuable experience to the Board, having served in the Navy after graduating from Yale College, followed by chief-of-staff positions with two congressmen, leadership positions with McKinsey & Co. and AT&T, and several successful entrepreneurial ventures. Waring is very active in the Virgin Islands community, serving as a Director of the Virgin Islands Montessori School, the Antilles School, and the Virgin Islands Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He is a member of the Rotary Club of St. Thomas, the National Eagle Scouts Association, the Cruising Club of America, the New York Yacht Club, the St. Thomas Yacht Club, The American Legion, and The Navy League. He also serves on the boards of the Kent School, the Partridge Foundation, and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Thomas K. Moore - Director Mr. Moore fully retired from the federal government in 2005. He graduated in 1961 from Harvard College with a degree in Physical Sciences and obtained his Juris Doctor from Georgetown Law Center in 1967. He served as Assistant US Attorney before practicing law privately from 1978 to 1992. In 1992, he was appointed as the Chief Judge of the District Court of the Virgin Islands. He retired from the bench in January 2003. In his retirement, he was elected and served as a delegate to the Fifth Constitutional Convention of the Virgin Islands. He is also a member of the St. Thomas Historical Society and a past commodore and long-time member of the St. Thomas Yacht Club. James Benton - Director Mr. Benton is the founder and President of J. Benton Construction, LLC and past President of Benton Construction Company, Inc. As a General Contractor and Construction Manager, he has overseen and completed several notable projects in St. Croix, including, the DIAGEO Captain Morgan Rum Distillery, the GERS Executive Office Building, the Divi Carina Bay Casino, the Global Crossing Fiber Optic Terminal Building, the Air Traffic Control tower for the VI Port Authority, and Bellevue Village in St. John. Mr. Benton is a Founder and Managing Member of Baobab Development Partners, LLC and is an Officer and Director of Julia’s Rest, Inc, both real estate development companies. He is also a Board Member of the Virgin Islands Government Board of Land Use Appeals. Mr. Benton obtained a B.S. in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology. |
